The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority – CATSA is a federal Crown corporation responsible for securing specific elements of the air transportation system including  passenger, baggage screening and screening airport workers. CATSA was established on April 1, 2002, is fully funded by parliamentary appropriations and is accountable to Parliament through the Minister of Transport. CATSA is governed by a Board of Directors with its operations directed by a dedicated Senior Management Team.
CATSA operates and administers many programs for air transport safety and security and they also sub-contract some or part of their operation to third party companies. For more information, please visit CATSA website below.
